How To Find Items Installed In Registry By a Program

Is there any way to find out what things were installed in the Windows (2000) registry by a program. Often times, you remove a program but there are still things left in the registry. If one had a list of those things installed in the registry by a program before removal, then one could at least manually remove them.

I am also in fear that some things left in the registry from removed programs might cause a conflict with programs later installed.

jv16 Power Tools is a handy little program that can display the registry entries created by a program. It can also clean out old entries, and do a lot of other really neat things.
