McAfee AV
Can anyone give me the ups and downs of McAfee's VirusScan 7.0 ? I used to run McAfee'S but it started to give a lot of trouble so uninstalled and haven't used it for 2 years now. Thought they may have upgraded to the better. Don't want to install before I get feed back . Thanks

Just do a search on this forum for McAfee. I think you will find that is still isn't very well thought of. Plus Norton's is falling in popularity.
AVG is getting a lot of favorable press here and it is free. Chas

I prefer Norton over McAfee but that's just my opinion. I've never tried AVG but it sounds really good - free and they keep it up to date.

Simply to say mcafee new versions of anti-virus are kinda of a problematic . It all started with v7.0 only you should not install the frewall that comes with it.
And mcafee is not 100% compatible with all other softwares in the market. If you really need a AV try installing norton systemworks 2003 which comes with the av That all i have to give. |

Please don't install the whole Systemworks if all you need is an AV.
