On a scatter plot, is there a way to create a "best fit" line?

yes when you have created your chart you want to make changes
1. click once on the graph and select chart menu 2. in chart options a dialog box appears with two tabs on it type and options 3. choose type of line then click options tab 4. in this window leave automatic and put tick in "display equation on chart" 5. click ok |

Thanks, Dougie Quinn. It took me a little while to find it, it was called "add treadline" under the chart menu.
And welcome to PCMech!
