Lightbulb Need good farming software

A friend of mine at work is looking for some good farming software that will allow him to keep track of shots, breeding records, births and numerious other things for his cattle. And also software for agricultural crop information: planting, fertilization, desease and various other things. Can someone please point me in the right direction so that he may purchase or download this software.
I have done a search but got lost as to what to look for.
