problem uninstalling a program

I need to uninstall my cd burner software to reinstall it. My problem is that the software wont uninstall. in the add/remove it doesnt do anything when you click on remove, and the uninstall shortcut in the start menu dont do nothin. i have used a third party unistaller and it dont do anything either. I try to reinstall the software but it says their is already a previous installation, do you want to unistall it first, I click on it and it exits the installation and dont do anything. Also if you go on not uninstalling it nothing is reinstalled.

I have to be able to reinstall the softare in order to use my cd burner. This is about to drive me crazy.

Try disconnecting the drive, ctrl-alt-del and end task everything except systray and explorer, then go to Add/Remove programs and see if it will uninstall.

Why do you need to reinstall it?
this is Iomega's live tech page for Hotburn software:

this is their customer support page:
http://www.iomega.com/support/catalog/hotburn.html
I would not recommend removing the program manually, you may miss things that will keep you from ever reinstalling...
