Recieving files from ICQ/AIM/MSN

Hello,
Everytime someone tries to send me a file through ICQ/AIM/MSN there is always a problem. It just won't work. It usually says something to the effect of "unable to recieve file." Any ideas? Thnx in advance

the router is a hardware firewall, you will need to find out what port to open for file transfers.

so far I have not been able to find out eather.

Q

There's a pretty good list of the various ports ICQ, AIM and MSN Messenger use on this page.

You will need to set up the router to forward those ports to your computer.

I am going to copy Miz's post to tips and tricks, that is just too useful to let slide off the board.
