Question adobe photoshop 6.0 vs. adobe illustrator 8.0

I want to make a logo and color it. So which software is better? Or do I do the outlines in paint then import to photoshop?
BTW-where to learn the usage of those applications online?the easy way

There are plenty of tutorials available throughout the web. Try a google search. That's the best way.

Here's a few links, though:

This page has a wealth of links to ther sites: http://photoshopcafe.com/

If you are doing something really complicated (ie - shadows, beveling & embossing, advanced gradients, blurs, or applying all sorts of other filters), then photoshop is the way to go. If you're going for a more simple logo, go with illustrator. It uses vector imaging, so that's a plus. Photoshop does uses that feature to an extent, but it's not perfect.

I admit, I'm an avid photoshopper, so I'm a little biased. Photoshop can be used for more things.

[edit]: btw, the newest version of photoshop is 7 and the newest of illustrator is 10.
