Windows Sound Recorder

I have a dual boot ME/XP Pro system and regardless of which OS I try to use the Sound Recorder application bundled with Windows the maximum record time I get is 1 minute. Is there any way I can increase this to say 1 hour?

Thanx
Sonny

Go to File > Properties and click Convert Now... for Recording Properties, then lower the quality and you'll get a longer recording time.

That was quick....Thanks! I just wonder why Microsoft limited Sound Recorder this way? Doesn't make much sense...but then again when did Microsoft make sense?

If you want longer recording time, take a look at goldwave: www.goldwave.com

The sound recorder that comes with windows isn't much good...

Didn't your sound card come with a wav editor?

Send a message via Yahoo to toomyg
I use COOLEDIT 96 from Syntrillium I've used it on my win95 all the way up to xp plus it's a great replacement for soundrecorder

Can't really explain to much about it (way to much to explain)but it's a nice piece of software and I found a place to download it if you want and you can find alot of info on it just by searching "cooledit96" in any search engin
