I have always used dvddecrypter and dvd2one to back up my dvd's. my parents just bought me all 8 seasons of the x-files and i was wondering how to back up specific episodes, rather than the entire dvd. like, on each disc there are 4 episodes, and i would like the third one. when i tried just selecting this episode in dvd2one to compress, it did not work. a) it gave me the wrong episode and b) it wasn't even the entire episode. i was wondering if anyone knows a better way of doing this. thanks in advance.

Well, I haven't done this often but when I did, I did it like that:
1. rip with DVD decrypter but merge all files (only possible with NTFS file system, not FAT16/32) 2. using IFO edit to stripe vob ids I don't want out of it. Each episode should have its own vob id. IFO edit will write new vob files, containing only the vob id that you want. RJ

DVD Decrypter has an option in its settings, all you need to so is to enable the merging and then rip.
