accessing 40 GB of RAM
Is there an OS right now that can access 40 GB of ram? Yes I've seen a server that has this much ram.

I'm not sure, but I would guees that some flavor of Unix (Linux etc.), could probably handle that much efficiently. Anyone else know for sure? HTH

Here at work we usually use Windows Data Center in our fully configured Enterprise servers with 64GB or ram. Unfortunatley, you will not see anyone running this OS at home. Anybody who knows what the licensing for an OS like this costs understands what I mean.
