Question how to save vcd to either mpg, mpg2 or avi?

SO how do you do it? I just need a format that can open in pinnacle 8.0. Vcd does not open in pinnacle 8

VCD is a MPEG, it just has a different header. What you need to do is to rewrite the header.

You can do that with VCDeasy. So first copy the dat file to hard drive, then using VCDeasy rewrite the header and you'll get a *.mpg file.

That MPEG-1 file can be loaded into Studio 8.

In VCDeasy on the left side click on "Tools", then on the top you will see a few buttons. Click on "MPEG Tools".

At the bottom there is: "Cdxa2mpeg: Convert a MPEG file with Riff header (.dat file) to "true" MPEG file".

On the right side click on DAT file, load your dat, click on MPEG file, and type in the name of the MPEG (whatever you like), click on Convert and there ya go.
