i've got an 873 mb file that i need to burn to cd's. does anyone know of what software i'd use to go about breaking it into two files that could fit on a normal 700 mb cd? thanks.

WinRAR is good for breaking up files into any size you want. You can even create a self-extracting EXE file so you don't need WinRAR itself to put the pieces back together.

WinRAR, HJSplit, Master Splitter. Just do a goggle search.
