DVD Backup Buddy

A letter from my friends daughter;

I just recently purchased and downloaded (6/18/03) DVD Backup Buddy . I am having problems with it. First, it will not allow me to even to begin to backup anything. When I go to DVDx like it says and go to file then open root, I get an error, no matter what I choose. Secondly, it is freezing up my WinDVD program. I'm not sure how, but before I downloaded it worked fine ( I could play any DVD movie) and now that I have un-installed it (DVD Backup Buddy) it works, but not with it
installed.
Any suggestions? I have already emailed to the "support" and have not heard anything. Please forward this or if you have a 1-800 number that I could call to have someone help me walk through this, I would greatly appreciate it.
If it's not going to work correctly, and mess everything else with my computer up, then I don't need it. Please help.
