Word 2000 Hanging

Hi all

I know this has been asked, and I did try to find the answer through searching but drew up blanks.

My work collegues computer has started to hang when you try to open up Word 2000. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it, but it is still doing the same thing. She is running 98 SE.

Sometimes it will illegal op, or show an error message (lack of memory)

Could it be a file within Windows 98 that is causing it to do this? As there is all the companies accounts and everything on this computer, we wanted to try and do without reformatting.

Thanx in advance
