changing an email file to a .exe

Have a actiontec call waitting modem that needs to be flashed .Have received a file from actiontec it has to be changed back to a .exe file ( channged to get around server) , and then used to flash modem.
I have a dual boot systemWin 98/Win 2k and received the file in win2k, however I must flash it in Win 98 .
I have an idea how to do it ,but can some one give me a step by step detail proceedure. Thanks an lot people

To change it back to an exe, all you have to do is save the file to your PC and change the extension to exe. Right-click on the file and rename it.
