.mdf file extension? How do i extract?

My bro sent me an .mdf file and i dont know how to extact it. I have alcohol 120% but can figure out what to do. I need the files within it

there should be a file menu in alcohol like most software programs.
see if you can choose open, find where you put the file, and click open. if the program won't open it, one of two things could be wrong. either you and your bro have different versions of alcohol (unlikely this would stop the program from opening the file) or the file was corrupted during the transmission and download.
try the file menu first, then ask your bro to send it again.
you also might try to right click the file and choose open with, browse for alcohol and choose it.

WIAT. GOT IT!! After trying every method i know i double clicked it and associated it with another program i had that extracs iso and it worked. Because the program would only search for xiso's it wouldnt see the mdf file but by associating it with it, it skipped the search process and opened it.
