AOL caused Outlook error

My daughter installed AOL on my PC because she thought I wouldn't care...

Once I got it uninstalled and as many remants deleted as I could find, I still was left with one problem. Now I get this intermittent error when I open OutlookXP and check for mail.

It was the newest version of AOL that I had on the machine, and I'm running WinXP. I can't figure out what is causing the error, and I can't find any documentation anywhere on the web.

Any thoughts??? Thanks in advance,
Mike

Did your daughter create a restore point before the installation?

I did actually try a restore afterwards, but it didn't solve the problem.

I suppose that means the problem has to be somewhere in the local settings that aren't undone when XP does a restore.

Is that possible? Should that narrow down for me where the problem is???

I used to have AOL installed on my computer I was running the ner version 8.0 and well lets just say that AOL is like a virus once it is installed it seeps into the very roots of the system and digs in deep. Because of this I ended up loosing Outlook express as mentioned above and as well as some defaulting problems. I still feel AOL has a $hit load bugs that need to be worked out of it. I mean why should it make 18 remove and restore points in your system in almost all of the system foldres. Yes you heard me 18. Well i must be brief so i wil get to the gone.
