spybot question

Didn't spybot use to have a feature where you could select everything it finds, I think that was in an older version because I have since updated and now I have to manually selection some reg keys I want it to delete.

Sarge, I found it in verison 1.2
on the left click on settings, then go into the settings area.
you get a full list of options.
toward the bottom of the options you get
expert settings,
there are 4 check boxes, put a check in each.

I have the same version. On the left it has S&D, donations, recovery, immunize, and update. No settings.

I also have another mystery.
2 of my computers have 10204 listed that it searches for but my main PC will only search 8450.

the update log shows this one completly updated as well.

ok, I just reinstalled and got the screen you have, no settings,
version 1.2
step 2 updateded everything, then it gave me the settings button on the left.

however still only searches 8450 types, not the 10204 like my other computers,
any idea?

beats me. Maybe that's why Ad Aware sometimes catches things that my Spy Bot misses. BTW, what is "step 2"?

Byte

When Spybot opens up click on Search and destroy on left…

Then under description of problem there is something called file sets… (this will be on right side)
Make sure both your computers have the same thing checked… Depending on what you have checked that will be the amount of files checked…

Could I have possible used the word check anymore?

Doobie that was it, now I have it checking the full 10204.

Step 2 is after the reinstall, just do the update, get everything.

Hey guys,
To get to all your settings/configuration options you have to launch SSD in Advanced mode. It's screwy but that can only be done thru the Start menu. That's where you have a choice between Advanced & Easy mode. Sarge, sounds like your launching in Easy mode. If you're launching from the desktop icon that's likely what you're going to get.
