Outlook 2002 contacts/auto-complete problem
I've been having problems with auto complete not working properly for one specific person in my contacts recently.
Basically, their name/email address never appears on drop down nor auto-completes when you type the first few letters of their name into the "TO:" section of the email form. Also, if i reply to that persons message the "TO:" is auto completed with their email address, rather than the contact name (as it does for my other contacts) i have their email addy listed under Any ideas? I've tried deleting their name from the address book, and re adding it manually amoungst other things. Thanks

when you remove/add the contact, do you reboot in between? and in the address book, do you have their contact name listed in it's proper place?

Well, i definitly think it's an M$ bug. Sign up at lycos mail and send yourself an email from it. Notice the name isn't automatically detected when you hit reply even though it was given in the email?
I reported it but they ignored me.. there's a surprise ![]() The auto-complete thing, it's just kinda weird. I think you need to send that person or reply to one of their emails, then it start's listing them I think i really liked OE better, and it doesn't even suffer from the mentioned problems! |
