Just wondering

The laptop I got listed below I got maybe a 1 1/2 ago when ever I run certain simple game and I mean simple like chips challenge or game emulation like for nintendo the cooling fan will speed up like it's having a hard time keeping it cool But it I run Front Page 2002 or Word 2002 even at the same time the fan don't even come on

Has anyone else have this problem well I don't know if it's a problem but more of a pain in the neck..

the fan coming on, I think, has more to do with the graphics than the program or the fact that you are running a game no matter how simple.
my guess is that if you tried to run a program like Photoshop the fan would run a lot too.
the Duran doesn't handle graphics well, it's kind of like the celerons...
the fact that it's in a Compaq doesn't help matters either......
