recording sound from website?
is it possible to record a background sound that plays when you go to a website? i'm using windows xp and ie6. thanks.

You can look in your IE temp directory as quite typically the background sound is stored there as a *.mid file. Or, if you have a Creative sound card, you can use their Recorder to record "What you hear." Never tried it with Windows recorder, but you can try if the above items don't work.

if you click "experience the rs-6" link in the center near the bottom of the page you'll hear the engine start. that's the sound that i want. any ideas?

I just tried it using Windows Recorder, and it worked just fine!!
