Odd file on Hard Disk
Hi all,
This may not be of much importance, but this file NERB0ED2C3B.exe showed up on my HDD (root of a partition) and I have no idea what it might be. The only thing I can think of that might be even remotely related is Nero 6 (6.0.0.11), but since I don't know what it is I don't want to simpy delete it and screw up my system. Any ideas? All help greatly appreciated. NPP

you could always rename it (change the extension to ex_ for example) and see if anything breaks.

When in doubt, rename it. If system runs ok for a few days, zap it.

Many thanks guys, got it renamed to NERB0ED2C3B.old. I am now going to restart the system and see what happens. I don't normally shut down (17 days now), but this qualifies.
Thanks again. Will keep you posted. NPP |

Well, back after reboot and nothing hurts. This file is taking the Trash Can ride to nowhere.
Thanks again, NPP |
