They are joking right?
Are they serious? I got the following off Staples.com
You can download software online and "return" it?...lol All you have to do is sign a "letter of destruction" ? How can this letter possibly stop someone from getting software for free..... I dont get it "Can downloaded software be returned? Most publishers have a 30-day return policies for downloaded software, however some publishers have a 60-day return policy. For downloadable products, all publishers require a Letter of Destruction. Digital River will send the Letter of Destruction to you via email and you will need to reply to this email. Call the Digital River Order Support line at 1-800-656-5426 to check the return policy for a specific product or to initiate a return." |

I down loaded McAfee AV from their web site a couple years ago (2nd biggest mistake of my life!) and when it royally screwed up my system and caused me to reformat my HDD, I called the company that handles their $ transactions and told them I wanted my money back. They had me "sign" one of those electronic forms and credited my credit card for the full amount. No hassle, only question, "have you destroyed the software?" I realize there are people dishonest enough to take advantage of this, but I was raised years ago to be a man of my word ----and that little voice you hear is NOT Jimminy Cricket, that's your own conscience!
