Need "atomic" system clock setting program

Anyone know of a good and free system clock setter? I was using 4th Dimension's utility for years, but it won't work in XP. (In fact, it will lock XP up!)

It was a very nice, compact program....

TIA

It's built into XP. Click on your clock then click on the internet time tab.

Try Atomic Clock Sync from www.worldtimeserver.com.

Here is the link to it:

Wow!! Learn something new everyday!! Thanks EzyStvy for the tip!!

Thanks pillainp for the link! Looks like a cool proggy but the "built in" time setter seems to work pretty good.

Thanks!

I've been a "hold out" in switching to XP from Win 98. I'm in the process of doing so now. Your sweet tip makes me want to go out and by a "XP for Dummies" book!! LOL

Thanks again!

After experimenting with several time synchronizer programs, I like NetTime on my Windows 98 system.

The worldtimeserver mentioned in posts above only checks one single atomic clock, but NetTime has the advantage that it checks up to 5 separate atomic clocks, & synchronizes your system clock to the result. It'll even find the atomic clocks for you if you want. I set NetTime to use 5 time servers at big universities & observatories located near me. Another small point, but something I like, is that when you run it, its icon in the tray is real small size.

NetTime download site: http://nettime.sourceforge.net/

Also look at the list of time synchro software publishers at: http://www.boulder.nist.gov/timefreq...ftwarelist.htm

I got both the Windows 98 for dummies and Idiots guide to Windows when I got my first PC little over 4 years ago.

Unless they have made dramatic improvements with XP you would be better served wasting your money on something frivolous that you enjoy.
