Minimize Outlook to taskbar?
I was wondering if there is a setting where I can have Outlook running in my tase bar, and when I get new e-mail me it lets me know. I have seen it before ant a place I used to work at but for life of me cant figure it out. If it matters It is Outlook that comes with Office XP Pro and I am running Win XP Pro. Thanks!!!

i think it's in the same place for office xp as 2000...
tools - optiions - e-mail options - display a notification when an e-mail arrives. i think that's what you're looking for.

This registry hack will work only for Outlook that comes with Office XP. If you do it, remember that changing thing in the registry can be dangerous:
1. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Preferences 2. Add a new DWORD value and name it MinToTray 3. Set it equal to 1. 4. Restart Outlook, it should now minimize to the tray. |
