File Tranfer Wizard for XP ?
I used this feature to make a back up of my files and things before my Hard Drive crashed a while back. I was wondering if any has used the fature to move th files back to there drive from a drive they had saved the files to. I was wondering bacause I would like to access those files I saved but dont want to move all of them back to the drive in fear of whats in there that could have caused the drive to fail in the first place. Does any one understand what im saying here. There are some pictures I have in that file I would like to get back if I could by running the wizard as if I am puting the files from my old computer to my new one but I dont want to transfer all of the files. Any Ideas?

Cain't you open the file you saved everything to and then copy anything you want from there?

Not with XP files and setting transfer wizard. It puts everything into 2 files that you cant open and get the folders. They are called IMG00001 which is a dat file and one is labeled status.file and you cant open them unless your are using the file transfer wizard to put your old file and setting on your new drive. I fixed my old drives problems but dont want all the files and settings because it may contain the driver that caused it to crsh in the first place.
