Anyone use this program before?

I'm using jv16Powertools to clean the registry. It found 382 entries that "do not exist". Do I remove them or what? I clicked remove but it warns me that I'm "about to remove an item that more than likely is not safe to remove". Do I proceed? I'm just afraid I might screw something up...

I'd be grateful for a quickresponse.

I've never used that program. If you're about to proceed, make a backup of your registry just in case it messes things up. There is an article in these forums regarding cleaning the registry ...Shop Vac for Windows Registry by Reboot.

I'm not familiar with your program, and I know most folks opt for the free registry correcting tools, but I use Registry Healer regularly. I tried the demo version and liked it so much I paid the $20 for the full version. It works great. It prompts you to create a system restore point every time you open it in XP to insure a backup is available. I've used it for several months now to keep my system registry clean.

If it warns you before proceeding I would heed the warning.I`ve used this program and it is a very powerful tool, but sometimes it does remove some items it shouldnt in my opinion.I now use RegScrubXP I will find the link for it and post back, although if you search this forum I know theres a link here cause thats how I found it.

I've used that program before. You should be able to select only those entries that are marked safe to remove and just remove those.
