Where do you purchase your software?

howdy folks,

I was just wondering...are there any websites that specialize in software?? you know, like a software version of newegg:P? I know newegg has software but they are limited. I'm looking for any and all types of software...I visited directron.com, but they only seem to a few titles per type of software...

thanks!

I've bought software from http://www.academicsuperstore.com/. If you are a student, you can get a lot of software for a pretty good deal.

I've found some of the best prices at Amazon.com and Buysell101.com. Many times Amazon is freight free (over $35) and, of course, no sales tax.

Software companies love to get students hooked on their products, so when they grow up and get jobs they will tell their employers to buy the full versions so they can work.

There is no single "good" source. You just have to throw out the question and shop around. I sometimes just find older versions of OEM or some such. I can get them for a song!
