STRANGE message!
My PC every couple of minutes says in a female tannoy voice "Politics read program is ready" (at least it sounds like thats whats being said).
What's going on? Have I a virus and if not, how do I find out which program is causing this? It's very irritating! It suddenly appeared on my computer whilst I was playing an online game. Rebooted and it's still there.

Did you open the task manager, using ctrl-alt-del and see what all is running. It shouldn't be to hard from there to see what is causing it...What is your OS??

WindowsXP (it's at the bottom of my posts).
It actually says "Holodeck 3 program is ready". Star Trek? I've nothing remotely connected with Star Trek on my PC. Checked the programs running and that helps me none.

check under processes in the task manager then, many of those unwanted things disguise themselves as processes on win2000/xp.
