outlook express

i am restoring my computer and i need a way to get my email messages out of outlook and onto a cd,

i've looked in the directory but they aren't there
can anyone help, i'll send you a free candy bar......

highlight all of the messages that you want to save.
go to the file menu and click save as.
send them to a temp folder that you create somewhere like desktop or my documents....
then burn the folder to cd....

The files are stored in *.dbx files, they're stored in the folder that is specified in the Outlook Express settings (Extras -> Options, Maintenance, storage folder).

Just burn the *.dbx files and that's it. After restoring your computer just copy the *.dbx files back and enjoy.
