Power Point Slide Show to DVD

I am comfortable with using PowerPoint and would like to tranfer it to DVD to play on a standalone DVD player. I have tried other programs, but none is as complete as PowerPoint. Any Suggestions? Thanks, WolfpackRon.

you need to convert your .ppt files to DVD or at least divx or mpeg..
this link has dozens of freeware and shareware programs for converting video formats:

check it out and see if there is something that will work for you...

DivX ?? Oh no ! DivX is based on MPEG-4 whereas DVD is based on MPEG-2.

There are only few DVD players capable of decoding MPEG-4.

If the presentation should play on the dvd player then you can make a slideshow. It won't be the same as a PowerPoint Presentation, though.

I found a way to "convert" it listed on the PowerPoint forum. Use a program named "Camtasia" to "Capture" the PowerPoint presentation, then use "Nero Vision Express" to "Convert" it, then burn it to DVD. I am reading the instructions. One problem is the Camtasia program is $379. I am sure there are other programs to "capture" the PowerPoint presentation. This is a "work in progress."
