duel boot
i bought a 120 gig hard-drive in january, purrley becuase i wanted to paritition it in to 3, 40gig hard-drives. 1 for windows xp, 1 for linux and 1 for mp3s
Now i am eventualy going to do it but am not sure how to partition my hard-drive and then install multiple os's on them, could somebody please help me |

You can install Windows XP first, making sure you don't use the entire drive when you partition. So, when you install Windows, make 1 40 GB partition for the OS, and 1 40 GB partition for your MP3s. Leave the other 40 GB unallocated. Then install Linux to that free partition. It should detect the Windows installation and automatically create a bootloader, or you can do it yourself afterwards manually.
Make sure you format the MP3 partition as FAT32 if you want to be able to read and write to it in Linux. |
