When I start my computer, before I can do anything a dialogue box appears and it says "Do not attempt to log in unless you are an authorized user." at the top of this box it says "Welcome to KPOFG!" I'm running '98 and I need to know how to get rid of it...

it may be a virus or a program you have instald can you get in to windows ?

Ya does seem to be some type of 'group'. I ran a search on google and they must have a yahoo group. Its all PGP encrypted in the descriptions in google. I wouldn't be suprised if they gained access to your box, and messed with it
 Be it a virus, or whatever. Maybe you can try to get into safe mode to run a scan of some sort.
