Sound control
 my mom is angry with me because she thinks I did something to the comp. but I really didn't... The sound Icon at the sys tray is gone... I went to control panel to reactivate it through "Multimedia" and it said that I need to install this option... So I then went to control panel and ...... add/remove programs... what file am I looking to install and where would it be located???

Do you have any sound now?
Try reinstalling your sound drivers.
