Republic: The revolution

I'm trying to play Republic: the revolution, as soon as i get in game and move the mouse, my computer locks up. I had this problem with Rise of nations but i fixed that by switching to 16 bit colours. Can someone help me? (specs in sig)

first thing i wood try is a look at the game manufactures website for problams like yours. next download the latest drivers for the vid / sound / an mother board and install and last download the latest version of direct x from microsoft and install do this evan if you have the latist as any time you update your display or sound driver you must reinstall direct x. affter that look at the system tray by the clock and close as many of the runing programs as you can (not your anti virus or fire wall ) then try playing the game if it still wont run post back.

sorry to say, but i already did all that. I went on the games website... no forum... no i went to eidos and they ahve nothing (but im going to send them a tech support email soon) then i reinstalled chipset, audio, and video drivers. i checked for any windows update. I installed directx 8.1 and 9.0. I closed every program while running it, I turned down all the graphics settings to minimum. I reinstalled it and now it works for like 5 seconds and then it locks up. Im going to be formatting very soon ( somethign that was very overdue) and then if it still doesnt work after the email im goign to send soon adn the format, i guess ill just... cry.

are you useing direct x 9a or 9b as version 9a has some problams version 9b is the latist i have all so found you a forum for the game at this link http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/~republi...d36b12325b3aef

got it to work by playing with the ati control panel thanks for the help
