Cut and Paste a url
Well, I'll be darned if I can figure it out! Was working and now--just won't. I try to copy a url from the browser address window to paste it into anything; an e-mail or a document, and it just won't go in. Anything else wil cut/paste, but not a url. From clipboard, the url is there, ready and waiting to be pasted, but---nope. Any body ever seen this and know where the on/off switch is? Thanks for your help.

When you say it doesn't work, what doesn't? How are you cutting and pasting it?

I've tried all these: Ctrl C, Edit/Copy, Right click/Copy, and for paste have tried all these: Ctrl V, Edit/Paste, Right click/Paste. None of these paste operations will paste anything into the target, no matter what the target is, i.e. document, e-mail, etc. The Copy function works because I can see the url in clipboard viewer, but it won't paste. As I said, regular text, even from a web page, will copy/paste without any problem.

What browser are you using?
I have never heard of only URLs not being able to be pasted. Sounds very weird. |
