Tripp Lite PowerAlert
I just received my Tripp Lite UPS. It's InternetOffice 500 (prod link: http://www.tripplite.com/products/pr...m?productID=11). Bought it for $70 (including shipping) after rebate.
It comes with this software, PowerAlert (www.tripplite.com/software). My question is should I install it? Has any 1 had any experience with this software? I am afraid that it might mess up the registry/settings or the computer itself. I think it's a nice software if it worked as advertised. It's supposed to save your files and safely shutdown the system in case of a power failure. I usually have my PC on 24/7.
