New PC just built Win98 installed but does not start it
Ok my friends comp is just finished and we just installed Win98, boot up the comp but only the grey backround of windows and the curson in the middle appears, and displays;
"SuReg Create Key Failed" What does this mean? Thanks.

Ok what exatly does undocked mode mean?
We can only boot it up in; Normal Mode Logged Mode Safe Mode Step by Step

i have only had this problam with a bad copy of the win98 cd we tryed to use, we had to reinstall with a new copy of the cd,the old one had a scratch

I think andyms18a is right or clean your CD with alcohol & try to reinstal. I had this same thing with dirty fingerprints on the CD. Make sure you get the edges good & clean
