Nero Gurus HAAAAAAALP
I cannot get Nero to work, this is a new install so it never has worked yet.
Using either nero express or the wizard I drag files to the proper area, click the burn button and all that happens is Nero window dissapears without any messages. Here is my environment, Thanks ahead Windows XP Pro Nero verison 5.5.9.16 bundled with Pacific Digital Mach52 52X24X52 internal drive. Drive is on secondary IDE set as master using 40 pin cable. |

Have you tried using WinXp integrated software to burn with the drive?
May not be the software. |

Are you using Nero from the Admin account? If not, you may need to download and install Nero BurnRights, and give your regular account the rights to burn CD's using Nero. Also, you might try upgrading to the latest available version of Nero.

OK, try uninstalling and then re-installing Nero. Also, the upgrade is worth the effort, and you may find a copy of the 5.5 series (later than yours) available on the 'net.
To access XP's built in writer agent, right click your CD Drive icon in Windows Explorer and select Properties>Recording, and uncheck the "Enable CD Recording for this drive box" if it is checked. |
