IEradicator can remove IE from Win 9x/ME. I don't think it's possible with Win 2K/XP however, IE is too inter-connected with the OS itself to be safely removed.

To many holes to plug in IE + I love Mozilla. Cookie control, no more popups, better favorites.

As long as you use Mozilla and not IE to surf the web then there's no need really to remove it altogether.

IE is required for some pages. Mozilla cannot run all of the pages on the net. How much space does IE take up? About 20mb. That is not enough hard drive space to fret over. Also, What problems have you had with IE? I have never had a problem. As I have just posted in another thread, I am considering going back to IE/MSN Explorer because Opera has been giving me problems despite it's great features.

I don't think seagull has any particular problems with IE, he just likes the features Mozilla offers better. Either way, my point is that you don't have to worry about patches and such if you're not using IE since the exploits won't apply to Mozilla. And like Hi Ho suggested, unfortunately not all pages are rendered correctly by Mozilla, so it's a good idea to keep IE around as backup.
