My latest computer issues

ok ive got 2 things i need worked out. Number one is hybernating. My comp used to do it fine but then i added a second 256 MB ddr memory chip and now when it comes on from hibernateing, after it goes thru the loading procses the comp just restarts.

my second problem involves the program Nero Express. I tried contacting their tech support but no help.

Basically when i use it, when i try and drag an MP3 over onto the window for what you want to burn, i get a pop up message saying in the title bar "nero" and in the body "out of memory". then the prog locks up and i have to control+alt+delete to close it.

No idea on first issue. With Nero Express I don't use drag, but click on Add and then navigate to file I want to burn and select it.

I have no clue on the 2nd issue but on the first, try removing the old stick of RAM and see if the problem persists. If so, thenmaybe the RAM is bad or not quite compatible with the MOB. Try also turning off the ECC on the RAM.

What os are you using? The "out of memory" problem was a situation with Windows 98 when using over 512 (or 256). Can't remember at the moment. But there is a fix.

The other possibility is a bad stick of ram or the 2 sticks don't get along. Download Memtest86 (free) and run a test of your ram.

I had forgotten about that. Seems there was also an issue with how Win ME handled more that 384MB.

I did not know you could successfully mix PC2100 and PC2700 on the same board.
