uninstalling Norton2003

Im over here at my uncles, and I am trying to uninstall Norton 2003, but when I try too, I get a wierd error message

"Error1606 Could Not Access Network Location ".\Documetns and Settings\All Users\Desktop"

My first guess was maybe another account on XP was running it or something, so I checked, all are fully logged off, I checkd the given location, all looks normal, what do you guys think?

Hes not on a network by the way...Just 1 PC, Bellsouth DSL

Hmm, after doing some more research, and finding this, http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;315352 which seems to fit my rpoblem, Im thinking it is. but, here is the funny thing, I go to HK...Software...USER SHELL FOLDERS and all that, but it doesnt have that common adminstrative tools value, so I checked "hell Folderss" and its in there, but since Microsoft clearly states it should be in USER SHELL FOLDERS, Im not sure what I should do.

Im almost positive my uncle has UPGRADED to WIN XP, but its still a possibility he had a friend come over and just format his HD, and start from scratch, but Im pretty sure its an upgrade, I wont know till he gets home from work...anyway, any thouhgs yet guys??

Maybe this should be movied to the Win XP forum...?

Figured out this one too guys. I had to do some digging but I found this program over at Symantec.com

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...&osv=&osv_lvl=

It fixed me up in a minute, and now everything is working fine. Hope this comes in handy
