Recorder

Is there a program that can record whats going on the computer screen into a video file (avi, mpeg, ect)? A program that records everything as it shows on the monitor.

Not in a video format as the file would be huge... there are programs out there that take snapshots of the screen and log keystrokes.

Check the thread. CamStudio. Works good. Converts whatever you capture to .avi But you have to figure out how to work it. Hardly any support for the freeware.

I guess it would depend on what you are planning to do..... to record to playback something to do would be possible.... I kinda had on my mind that day (as I did this for a customer) that he may have been looking for something that would record everything that a person is doing on the system so they could spy on them. I put a program on a clients machine the other day as he was looking to bust his employees for goofing off all day... and it worked.
