xp password
I just installed windows xp on a new computer/ hard drive and at the logon screen it ask me for a password. I don't have a password it is a new hd with nothing installed on it. How can I fix this.

xp will not ask for a passwork if one was not given at the installation, if one was given as the admistrator or as a user, then you must inter it when asked.
if you cannot remember the password, then you may have to delete the partation and reinstall it, as far as I know, there is no way to find it, that is one of the great features of xp. security. |

I installed this from a formated disk a brand new HD and I never put in a password. I don't know y it's asking for one.

For which account is it asking for a password? Did you set up any user accounts?

It is asking for the guest account. I have never set up any accounts.

And it won't let you log in without entering a password for the guest account?
