How do you use an .ISO file

Sorry for being a newbie, but is the .ISO file is an image file? I downloaded a game from the internet and it has the .ISO extention. How do i use it? Do i copy it to cd rom and let the cd player verify it or do i need to download some type of program.

you need a program like nero to burn the iso to a cd, it will take the image file (ISO) amd open it up to burn the cd back to what the orginal cd was, makeing it useable.

ISO is a format of a compression of a cd contents into a single file for transfering over the internet or any other means.

it must be burned to a blank cd to be useable.

If you do burn it with Nero make sure to use the wizard and save yourself some headaches.

If you want to extract the contents of a .iso file without copying it to a CD using Nero or any other Cd writing software, then you can use software called 'ISO Buster' for this purpose. this can be downloaded from the following site.
