how to set up ftp server
how to set up ftp server. i wonder does window xp has the built in ftp server. or i have to download somewhere. can anyone teach me step by step how to set up ftp server. thank you

really cool ftp server that is free and easy to use is Faststream NETfile Server...they also make a client but i just use explorer or the mac os for that depending on what computer i'm on. just open up the ports you want to use and go...it's great...good luck...

If you are using a router at home, you need to go to the router's Setup and forward port 21 to your FTP server's IP address. To find out your FTP server's local IP address, run 'ipconfig' on a DOS shell. |
