virus

is their a virus that can disable regedit so that you can,t get in to remove things like a virus it keeps telling me that it has been disabled by the adminitrater but i am the admin is their a way to remove this problem without reformatting is their a program ican use to reenable and then repair thanks 4 all your help andy.

Yes some viruses do remove access to regedit

You'd be best to get yourself a virus checker like AVG from www.grisoft.com or an online scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com

Once you've scanned with those, let us know which viruses were found and we'll find out how to get regedit back

You could always try regedt32.exe in the meantime
