virus
is their a virus that can disable regedit so that you can,t get in to remove things like a virus it keeps telling me that it has been disabled by the adminitrater but i am the admin is their a way to remove this problem without reformatting is their a program ican use to reenable and then repair thanks 4 all your help andy.

Yes some viruses do remove access to regedit
You'd be best to get yourself a virus checker like AVG from www.grisoft.com or an online scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com Once you've scanned with those, let us know which viruses were found and we'll find out how to get regedit back You could always try regedt32.exe in the meantime HTH, Thanks,
