Weird IE problem

Ok I was at work today and my boss came up to me and asked me a question about internet explorer. He told me that recently he's been having a problem where when he clicks on the help button at the top and goes to about internet explorer, sometimes it shows up blank and when it shows up blank he can't fully browse the web. He told me that this has happened to him twice already and he was asking me if I knew why it was doing this. I never heard of that happening before so I was wondering if anybody had any clue as to what was going on.

Never seen it before, no option but to try the usual virus check, scandisk, defrag etc and post back

Could be that Internet Explorer is messed up, might need to be reinstalled (to a newer version perhaps)

Thanks,
