does anybody know of a good place on the internet to buy a windows xp home license? we have a full oem copy with cd and license and for the next build i really just need the license. i looked at #9 software and they've gotten horrible reviews. is there anywhere that sells the coa sticker with good service and everything? thanks...

The COA costs as much as you can buy the OEM Full Version for.

Windows XP Home COA License - $57 is this legit? i mean i thought as long as you had a license you could run a copy of a product but now that i think about it..."pulled from systems"? that doesn't sound right...but still, if anybody knows of somewhere where i can get a legitimate Microsoft Windows XP Home COA License i would really appreciate it. josh |

I believe Micosoft is it. Or you could buy another CD.

Suggest that you look on the ebay software site. You'll find the resale terms that MS & ebay have worked out for selling software from OEM installs.

Companies are turning into control freaks. I bought Windows XP at full price. I should be allowed to run it on both of my computers that I also own legally. No one else uses them.

#9 software did pretty well...got my order in 2 days...lol, a little unsettling getting a COA in a handmarked envelope but hey, it worked right? it is obviously a used COA, slightly bent and such but it's definitely a legit license and number so i think i'm clear...just letting you guys know how it went...thanks for the suggestions...

Hi Ho: One license, one computer - that's ALWAYS been the case, they are just enforcing that now with product activation. Office (but not Windows) XP may be installed on a laptop in addition to a desktop, they do allow that.
