ok, I backed up all my windows and document files I was using
for school. Had to reinstall my OS and go to my backup cd to pull them back up, it looks encrypted now... What happened? |

What do you mean that it "looks encrypted." What program did you use to burn the CD?

Do you get any error messages when you try to access the CD? When you browse to the CD in Explorer what do you get?

Every thing looks normal until you open a folder or file, then comes the garble, oh well, I'm getting tired of messing with it... It had my programming backed up on it, and I'm going to have to start over and do 3 months of work all over again in a few short days .... seems like another 2 piece cd has been created.

Could you post a screenshot of what it looks like? If there is still some hope, it would be far better to get the files than to do your programming over!
